Chris Carson Emmons

Biography

Chris Carson Emmons

Biography

  • Inspired at an early age by an episode of "Muppet Babies" that explained the filmmaking and animation process, Chris Carson Emmons started making animated shorts and live action fan films with his friends. After receiving his BFA he wrote and directed "Prone," an ambitious short film with multiple parallel storylines, which laid the groundwork for much of his career. As he continued honing his craft, Emmons' films started receiving nominations and awards on the film festival circuit. His horror film "New Skin," a dark satire about a faded movie star trying to reclaim the spotlight at any cost, played festivals across the US and Europe. His first film based on true events, "Roebling's Bridge," which depicts the family behind the Brooklyn Bridge during a transition of power from father to son, premiered at the Saxonburg Museum in Pennsylvania, then screened outside the Brooklyn Bridge itself with descendants of the Roebling family at the monument's 135th anniversary celebration. In 2021 Emmons' feature about a disgraced life coach to the rich and famous called "Two Cents From a Pariah" was released on Amazon Prime. His upcoming 6 episode action/thriller series "Privateers" can be seen later this year.
