Nick runs Fish Entertainment (or Fish.Ent) alongside James Moore and Mark J. Cassidy. Fish.Ent is the long-form division of Flying Fish NZ-a 40-year old kiwi business started by acclaimed Maaori filmmaker Lee
Tamahori.
Nick's career in the film industry began at the New Zealand Film Commission under former CEO and producer Dave Gibson. Nick's first feature film THE CANYON starring Mel Gibson was pre-sold to 20 international territories and will be released in 2026; his second film DEATHGASM II was the most successful kiwi film to crowdfund production on Kickstarter and had its world premiere at Fantastic Fest 2025.
At Fish.Ent, Nick, James and Mark utilise the infrastructure and resources of the Flying Fish Group to develop and produce projects in collaboration with both established and emerging filmmakers. The entire team is deeply passionate about talent development and championing new voices in the industry.
