Biography

Jeremy Scott Olsen

Biography

  • Jeremy Scott Olsen finds sound and music just amazing. Lucky for him, he gets to do them for a living.

Recent work has included recording a large amount of the VO for Zootopia 2 and Moana 2, contributing sound design to the feature "The Way We Speak" and the stop-motion animated short "The Finger Wife" (which he also supervised), scoring a handful of commercials and promotional videos, and signing on as a co-EP on a podcast and a reality TV pilot, both unannounced.

All in all, Jeremy's work can be heard in half a dozen feature films, several shorts, a pair of AAA video games, one chart-topping album, and over 400 episodes of television.

In addition, Jeremy has restored dozens of hours of audio soundtracks for TV and film; recorded, mixed, mastered, produced, and/or performed on a bunch of fun music projects for his record labels; played drums in the Los Angeles Laker Band at basketball games and in a few rock bands, and performed live with Fleetwood Mac and with The Rescues; and taught high school band, middle school music, and private drum set lessons.

As a part of his dialogue recording work, Jeremy has had the good fortune to record musical performances by Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Weird Al, Fergy, Daryl Hall, Frank Sinatra Jr., and Darren Criss, as well as voice acting performances by some of the world's best-known actors and biggest personalities, like Whoopi Goldberg, Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Ginnifer Goodwin, Ke Huy Kwan, Bryan Cranston, Sanaa Lathan, Matt Kemp, Mariah Carey, Ed Asner, will.i.am, Adam West, Jane Lynch, Mickey Rooney, Carl Reiner, Nicki Minaj, Flea, Carrie Fisher, Rush Limbaugh, Danny Trejo, and Kristen Schaal.

Jeremy was born in Worcester, Massachusetts. He grew up in that state until roughly age 8, then lived in northern California's Bay Area until college at USC in Los Angeles. (Fight On, Trojans! ) He has been a southern Californian ever since. He lives there with his amazing (and very tolerant) wife and two incredible daughters.
