Jimena Soldo

Jimena Soldo is an Argentine Production Designer and Art Director with an extensive career spanning film, television, streaming productions, live entertainment and advertising. Throughout her career, Soldo has developed a versatile body of work in visual storytelling, creating environments, sets and visual identities that support the narrative, tone and characters of each project. Her experience combines production design, art direction, architecture and set design, together with a highly collaborative approach to audiovisual production. This has allowed her to work across a wide range of formats, from feature films and scripted series to large-scale television entertainment, live events and commercial productions. Soldo's film work includes the feature film *My Best Friend* (*Mi mejor amigo*, 2018), directed by Martín Deus, for which she served as Production Designer. The film had an international festival run and was released theatrically and internationally. She also worked as Art Director on *¿Yo te gusto?* (2019), directed by Edgardo González Amer. Her television and streaming credits encompass a broad range of genres and formats. Among her work are *Melody, la chica del metro* (2023), *El amor es más fácil* (2020), *El secreto de la familia Greco* (2022) and *Sé Tú Misma (STM)*. Her work in scripted television has included Art Direction and Set Design, contributing to the development of distinctive visual worlds across episodic productions. Soldo has also built extensive experience in entertainment television, working on major productions such as *MasterChef Argentina*, *MasterChef Celebrity Argentina* and *Otro día perdido*. These projects required the design and coordination of complex environments, sets and visual elements within demanding television production schedules. Her work extends to large-scale live entertainment and television events. In 2025, Soldo served as Art Director for *Desafío Atenea*, a large-scale university competition produced at the historic Teatro Coliseo in Buenos Aires. The production involved the creation and coordination of an extensive visual environment designed specifically for a live event, requiring close collaboration between artistic, technical and production teams. Soldo has also contributed to the visual design of productions for *Canal Gourmet*, working on television formats in which food, lifestyle and visual presentation play a central role. Her experience in this field includes the development of sets and environments designed to integrate functional production requirements with a strong and recognizable visual identity. Among her more recent scripted work is *La mente del poder*, a psychological thriller produced by Warner Bros. Discovery, Flow and 11 Loops, directed by Mariano Hueter. As Art Director, Soldo worked closely with the director and creative team to establish the visual language of the series, translating its themes of suspense, manipulation, distrust and betrayal into the physical environments of the story. The production's visual approach was documented in the 2024 Anuario of the Argentine Society of Cinematographers (ADF). Soldo has also worked on productions associated with major international entertainment companies and platforms, including Netflix, Paramount, Universal and Disney+, as well as Star+. Her professional experience includes collaborations with production companies working across the Argentine and international audiovisual markets. Alongside her work in film and television, Soldo has developed a substantial career in advertising. She has collaborated with leading Argentine production companies including Rebolución, Landia, La Doble, Huinca Cine, Wasabi and Oruga Cine, developing art direction for campaigns for major brands such as Telecom, Coca-Cola, Orbit, Procter & Gamble, Knorr and Personal. Throughout her career, Soldo has worked closely with directors, cinematographers, producers, set decorators, costume designers and technical teams, with a particular focus on interdisciplinary collaboration. Her approach to production design goes beyond the creation of visually compelling spaces, using environments, objects, textures, color and composition as fundamental storytelling tools.
