An award-winning DGC filmmaker, Graeme has been shaped by his Jamaican and Scottish roots, growing up immersed in diverse cultures that ignited his curiosity and deepened his empathy for people's stories. This foundation has become the driving force behind his work.
Graeme's feature documentary "Play It Loud! How Toronto Got Soul" (TVO, Knowledge, Telefilm) has earned multiple honours, including "Best First Feature Documentary" at the Pan African Film Festival and was nominated for "Best Biography or Arts Documentary" in the 2026 Canadian Screen Awards.
Graeme directed his National Film Board of Canada anthology series "Sounds & Pressure: Reggae in a Foreign Land", featuring reggae legends Leroy Sibbles, Nana McLean and Johnny Osbourne.
Graeme is also the co-founder of Bonfire Originals, a production company focused on documentary, unscripted and commercial work.
Also known as DJ Gramera, previous host of his radio show StolenSouls, he continues to celebrate authenticity and the cultural roots that shape his identity, whether behind the camera or on the turntables.
