Biography

Annekatrin Hendel is a successful German director, and film producer. In 2004, she founded her film production company It Works! Medien GmbH in Berlin, Germany, and she continues to work there as managing director, producing more than 30 award-winning feature films and documentaries. Hendel has served as a jury member in multiple state film funding institutions, and served on film award and various festival committees: e.g. Berlinale, First Steps Award, Filmfest Schwerin, Achtung Berlin-Festival and many more. Annekatrin Hendel also served on the German Film Academy Board of Trustees from 2018 to 2023.
