He first made an impact in A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints (2006) and Fighting (2009), then built on that momentum with recurring and guest appearances in hit shows such as Wu-Tang: An American Saga, Bronx SIU, Poker Face, We Own This City, Law & Order, FBI: Most Wanted, and The Blacklist. His work spans gritty drama, action, and comedy-both in front of the camera and behind the scenes as a trained stunt performer.

Beyond acting, Jermel is a dynamic comedian, having performed stand-up at iconic New York venues like Caroline's and Broadway Comedy Club. He also records music under the name Franky Steel, blending lyrical skill with streetwise storytelling.
