Mia doesn't want children. She has been with her husband Wout for several years when one day, he comes home with a team offering VR simulation therapy, promoted by the state. Through scans of Mia and Wout's faces, they create a VR simulation, a SIM, of what a baby conceived by the two of them might look like.
