Jeff Smitty Smith(I)

Jeffrey G. Smith - known to his friends simply as Smitty - has been a rock and roll vocalist, guitarist, filmmaker, 'Zine' publisher, DJ, and occasional improv comedian. Wick and Smitty met as teenagers and formed the early Seattle punk band, Mr. Epp And The Calculations, along with Mark Arm, who was later a part of Seattle's 'grunge' movement as frontman of the band Mudhoney. Smitty was 1st A.D. on Wick's first film, Long Strange Trip - or The Writer, The Naked Girl, And The Guy With a Hole in His Head. As 2nd camera operator on Wick's second film, Movie Pizza Love, Smitty can sometimes be seen in the background, filming, and improvises from behind camera in the hilarious 'blowup' scene, in addition to Mr. Epp, Smitty has also been in the bands Mice Magnetic (with Wick), Dosed Bernie, and Clearinghouse. Smitty is featured in Wick's comedy special, The Pants Of Life, which compiles Wick's stand-up comedy along with sketch improv clips Wick and Smitty did together from the late 1980s to the early 1990s.
