Jael Strauss was born on July 3, 1984 in Detroit, Michigan, USA. She was an actress, known for The Story of Your Life (2008), Wrath/Anger (2008) and S&M: Sex & Money (2008). She died on December 4, 2018 in the USA.

After America's Next Top Model (2003), she struggled with homelessness and a crystal meth addiction which ravaged her looks. She was clean since 2013.

Her mother is African American. Her father is Jewish (from a family from Austria, Romania, Germany, and Bulgaria).

She was a contestant on America's Next Top Model (2003) in 2007.

On 0ctober 2, 2018, Strauss was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer after she was feeling sick since last month. It had aggressively spread throughout her body and was incurable. Strauss, who two days later confirmed that the name of her illness was rapidly progressive metastatic inflammatory breast cancer, explained that undergoing chemotherapy and treatment may help extend her doctors' original prognosis who gave her ''few months'' at first. She quit chemotherapy around Halloween and moved into a hospice where she died on December 4, 2018 around 11 am at the age 34, just two months after her diagnosis. She was unconscious for a few days before her death.

Died on Tyra Banks's 45th birthday.
