Marko Novakovic

Marko Novakovic was born in Belgrade. He has graduated direction on Academy of Arts in Novi Sad (Serbia). He is known for his feature films Neko me ipak ceka (2009) , Zverinjak (2012) and Bez stepenika (2015) , which have won dozens of awards and prizes on Serbian and international film and TV festivals. At 2020. he has created and moderated a TV show Rani kadrovi (2020) , about student films in Serbia. He has also directed stage theater plays, TV serials, varieties, performing arts, live concerts, game shows, talk shows, commercials and music video-clips. For a last fifteen years he works as Editor Responsible in Serbian Broadcasting Corporation for drama and fiction serial programs.

Son of Slobodan Novakovic.
He has directed concerts of the world's biggest music stars (Moloko, Iggy Pop, Billy Idol, Manu Chao, Prodigy, Beastie Boys, Madness, Jamiroquai, Nick Cave ...) on "EXIT" Festival (2003 - 2011), as well as the biggest bands from Serbia and the region.
He has directed performances at the finals "Eurovision Song Contest" for Serbia (Zeljko Joksimovic, 2012. and Sanja Vucic ZAA 2016) and Montenegro (Sergej Cetkovic 2014. and Nenad Knezevic Knez 2015).
He has expressed himself with success in many fields of television directing working Quiz "People Versus" (2003 - 2005), a show "Serbia got Talent" (2012 and 2013) and "X Factor Adria" (2013).
He was a jury member in a category for dramas & TV serials at International "Golden Chest" festival (Plovdiv 2002), a jury member of International "Golden Umbrella" TV festival for entertainment and fiction programs (Albena 2003, 2008, 2012), a jury member of semi-final judging of International "Emmy awards" in category Popular Arts (Albena 2004) and semi-final judging of International "Emmy awards" in category Serials Fiction (Belgrade 2025), a president of a jury of International "Heart of Europe" festival for TV serials (Warsaw 2022) and a president of a jury of International "Heart of Europe" festival for Feature Films (Warsaw 2025) and a jury member of International "Prix Europa" media festival for Fiction Programs (Berlin 2025).
