- Guy Kewney was born on April 30, 1946 in South Africa. He is known for Database (1984), High Interest (1992) and Secret Society (1987). He died on April 8, 2010 in London, England, UK.
- On 8 May 2006 he was due to be interviewed live on BBC News 24 about Apple Computer's court case with The Beatles' record label, Apple Corporation. However due to a misunderstanding by the producer and a BBC receptionist, a Congolese man, Guy Goma, who was at the BBC for a job interview, was interviewed instead by mistake.
- He was an influential and well-respected journalist who wrote many technology and IT-related articles for magazines such as Personal Computer World (PCW), PC Magazine, Electronics Weekly, Computing, and New Scientist.
