James Boss is a Korean American filmmaker, actor, and visual artist born in Hollywood, California. Known for blending cinematic world-building with grounded realism, his work explores action, drama, and psychological themes through a visually distinctive style.

With a background in martial arts from an early age, Boss has developed a filmmaking approach that emphasizes authenticity, physicality, and immersive environments. His work often combines disciplined action choreography with emotionally driven storytelling, creating films that are both visceral and atmospheric.

He began his artistic journey studying graphic design at The Art Institute of Los Angeles before continuing his training in acting with respected instructors in Hollywood and abroad. He later expanded his creative foundation through theater studies at Seoul Institute of the Arts.

Boss gained wider recognition with White Wall (2010), a dystopian action film in which he both starred and directed. The film secured North American distribution through Well Go USA Entertainment and was released on Netflix.
