Marina Salsa

ACTRA Member Marina Alexandra Salsa was born December 27, 1979, in St. Miguel, Azores Island (off the coast of Portugal). At age 5 Marina and her family made the move to Toronto, Canada. From a young age, Marina was involved in pageants and school plays. Her passion for being in front of the camera and entertaining people soon started to grow. She won many contests and was named Miss Photogenic twice. She also placed second runner up in the search for Miss Metro Universe pageant held in Toronto in 2000. Marina then started her acting education at George Brown College, and also enrolled in various courses held by Mark Bowden & Brenda Bazinet at Armstrong Acting Studio, Professional Actors Lab, Sears & Switzer and Tom Todoroff. She landed an agent and appeared in Commercials, Independent Films and Music Videos. Marina also worked behind the scenes and helped coordinate many projects. Her voice was lent to voiceover work (Run for the Cure) and musical compositions. Marina is a multi-faceted entertainer with the drive to become among the best in her field. She will be the face for the 2016 Special K campaign. She is constantly growing as an actress, and perfecting her craft.
