  • Kenneth L. Browning was born in North Philadelphia, PA to very hard-working parents Joseph Browning and Olivia Simmons. --after his mom went into labor while traveling north on Amtrak from Florida to New York. Growing up in the Bronx and later the Hamptons his passion for acting began as a youth in music class when the teacher played "GREASE" the movie for two days in his Bridgehampton class. It was in high school in Lake Butler, Florida where he took his first drama class, after moving south with his mom when his parents divorced. He spent 1 1/2 years in college at Bethune Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida. After transferring to Morgan State University in Baltimore, he then joined the U.S. Army and worked in military intelligence with a top secret security clearance.

    Army veteran and war hero turned actor, Kenneth L. Browning is a native New Yorker whose career began when he auditioned for and won an acting scholarship to Weist-Barron Studios when they were located in the heart of Manhattan on 46th st, there he trained in acting for film and television with Emmy award winning director Peter Miner, Emmy award nominated director Norman Hall and award winning director and acclaimed acting coach David Triacca.

    Appearing in numerous independent short/feature films and music videos early on, from the gritty urban drama "Transformations" to the Weeknd's "In the night" and Discovery ID network's "Dead of Night". He also appears in the New Media TV Movie "To Live and Die in BedStuy" released October 2020. Along with the newly revived original "LAW & ORDER" television series starring Anthony Anderson on NBC in 2022.

    Kenneth has also appeared in many stage productions as well! Like Staten Island Shakespeare Theatre's production of "OTHELLO" as Othello and Lee Blessing's "COBB" as Oscar Charleston. He later went on to play the role of Sterling Johnson in August Wilson's "Two Trains Running" at Black Spectrum Theatre, for which he and his cast won the AUDELCO Award for "Best Revival". He has also performed in the award winning off-broadway production of "Black Angels Over Tuskegee" the story of the Tuskegee Airmen, "Cowboy" the story of Bass Reeves and "Kings Of Harlem" the story of the Harlem Rens basketball team.
