Jarno Lee Vinsencius is an award-winning writer, director, cinematographer, and producer, and the founder of JLV Pictures and the independent filmmaking platform Guerilla Filmmakers. Born and raised in Sweden, his passion for cinema began at an early age when his Indonesian father introduced him to filmmaking through a Super 8mm projector. One of the first films he experienced was a condensed 20-minute version of King Kong (1933), followed by the lasting impact of Star Wars (1977), which solidified his fascination with visual storytelling.
In the late 1990s, Vinsencius relocated to the United States to pursue formal film education and hands-on production. He later established JLV Pictures, through which he has written, directed, and produced numerous short films and music videos recognized at international film festivals. His work has earned more than 80 awards worldwide, reflecting a bold, resourceful, and story-driven approach to independent filmmaking.
