Biography

Drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 18th round of the 1991 amateur draft. Has played for the White Sox (1995-1998), Cincinnati Reds (1999), Seattle Mariners (2000-2003), New York Mets (2004-2005), San Diego Padres (2006-2007), Milwaukee Brewers (2008-2009), and Boston Red Sox (2010-2011).

Made major league debut 27 August 1995.

Played in final major league game 12 September 2011. Signed by the Washington Nationals following the 2011 season but retired before he played a game with them.

(January 11) Reached a preliminary agreement on a $7 million, one-year contract with the Milwaukee Brewers that includes an option for 2009.

(October 31) Suspended by Major League Baseball for the first 25 games of the 2008 season after testing positive a second time for a banned stimulant.
