- David is the founder of YouTooCanWoo, a Brooklyn-based music and audio creative studio known for blending composition, sound design, production, and immersive mixing into a singular storytelling-driven approach. He co-produced MGMT’s breakthrough debut EP, Time to Pretend, and has built a career that bridges the worlds of artist development, sonic branding, and audio innovation.
His work spans the creation of audio identities for major brands and media companies including NBC, ABC, Paramount, Peacock, and Verizon, as well as scoring, sound design, and Dolby Atmos mixing for film and documentary projects. Notably, he provided score, sound design, and Atmos mixing for Geoff McFetridge: Drawing a Life, executive produced by Spike Jonze, which received the Audience Award at SXSW.
Beyond his commercial work for brands such as Apple, Nike, Mercedes-Benz, and IBM, David is a longtime recording artist, producer, and mixer. He co-founded the indie-dance group French Horn Rebellion with his brother Robert, touring internationally and earning a devoted global following. His production, mixing, and remix credits include Beyoncé, Sia, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, Sofi Tukker, The Knocks, and Purple Disco Machine.
David also writes, records, produces, and performs with a roster of emerging artists through toucan sounds, his independent label, which was nominated by DJ Mag for Best Breakthrough Label of the Year.
