Biography

Jim Edwards was born in Winston-Salem, NC and graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and a minor in Economics. His business career in Tampa, FL included work as a Realtor, Insurance Agent and Stockbroker.

A singer and guitarist since childhood, he has played solo and with rock, country and Christian bands.

His early starring roles include independent films "Your Hand in Mine" playing an oppressed husband who seems to get everything wrong and a loving father of a blind child in "Inheritance".

He did numerous school and church plays including community theater and the Spanish Lyric Theater in Tampa. He played a variety of characters in several student films at Full Sail and the University of Central Florida. He earned his SAG card doing commercials in Florida.

He's best known for his latest film role as Cecil Clark, a church deacon and car dealer in "No Vacancy", a touching faith-based true story starring TC Stallings, Dean Cain and Sean Young, where he takes on racism, patriotism and faith.
