Biography

Paul Schotsmans was born on November 23, 1930 in Antwerpen, Flanders, Belgium. He was an actor, known for De schone molenarin (1965), De proef op de som (1962) and Het liefdeselixir (1962). He died on January 27, 1996 in Edegem, Flanders, Belgium.

His oratorio performances and his radio and television concerts in Belgium and abroad made him an internationally known Flemish tenor.

Paul Schotsmans was a Flemish tenor singer.

For 40 years, he was the brilliant tenor soloist in the famous orchestral masses of the Antwerp St. Paul's Church.

Music critics found his 'Mime' in The Ring of the Nibelung by Wagner sublime and unforgettable.

He was a singing teacher of the educational department at the Royal Flemish Conservatory of Antwerp.
