Biography

John began his film and television acting career with a role on the hit Canadian series Trailer Park Boys as Phil the Hydroponics Guy, followed by an appearance on Comedy Network’s Liocracy, starring the late Leslie Nielsen.

An ACTRA member, his television credits include Netflix’s Sullivan’s Crossing, CBC’s Diggstown, and USA Network’s, Falling Water. He also appears as the foreboding, Ritoranti in the upcoming feature film UnHoly Night by director Michael Gabriele

John starred in the award-winning short film, Yakim, directed by P. Murphy. The film won Best Picture and was an official selection at the Air Canada Film Festival, the Victoria Film Festival, and the Canadian International Film Festival.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and English Literature from Dalhousie University and King’s College in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He continued his professional training in acting for film at Vancouver Film School and studied screenwriting at the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design.

In addition to acting, John is a singer, a voiceover artist and independent freelance screenwriter with several completed screenplays and short films. He is developing his first feature film, The Bicycle.
