Ande Schurr

Ande Schurr is an Emmy-nominated production sound mixer (HOD) based in Singapore, working across Asia-Pacific, Australia and New Zealand. He received a 2026 Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Sound Mixing for the BBC/Netflix limited series "Lord of the Flies" (dir. Marc Munden), recorded entirely on location in the Langkawi rain forest, Malaysia.
Over twenty years his work has spanned feature film, high-end television and documentary, including Dev Patel's "Monkey Man" (Universal Pictures), Taika Waititi's "Hunt for the Wilderpeople", "Mr Midnight" (Netflix), "Somebody Feed Phil" (Netflix) and "Oceans Apart: Art and the Pacific" (BBC).
A New Zealand citizen with full Australia and NZ work rights, Schurr operates a complete, airline-checkable drama package and is within one to three hours' flight of every major ASEAN production center.
