- Vasilis Papavasileiou was born in 1949 in Thessaloniki. He was an actor, known for O drapetis (1991), Kohlias (1982) and I gynaika pou evlepe ta oneira (1987). He died on June 6, 2025 in Thessaloniki, Greece.
- Received awards from the Municipality of Athens, the Municipality of Halandri, the Greek Association of Theatre and Music Critics and the Syracuse Theatre Festival in Italy.
- Director of the Karolos Koun Art Theatre.
- Directed more than thirty shows (works by Sophocles, Goldoni, Marivaux, Shakespeare, Pirandello, Molière, etc.) and translated various theatrical and prose texts (Goldoni, Molière, Bart, Sade, etc.).
- Grew up in Serres, Greece where his father was a public servant.
- Taught at drama schools and at the Theatre Department of the School of Fine Arts of the University of Thessaloniki.
