Ikaros Kanellopoulos(1920-1993)

Ikaros Kanellopoulos was a Greek television presenter, actor, and lyricist, best known as the host of the first game shows in Greek television history. Raised in Petralona, he began his career as an emcee in entertainment venues before moving to radio and television in the mid-1960s. Among his most popular shows were Vres to kai parto (1970), Orizontios, diagonios kai kathetos (1969), To sofo plyntirio (1970), Hrimatistirio gnoseon (1971), and Mipos gnorizete? (1974). He was also active in motorsports as founder of the Hellenic Motor Racing Club (ALA) and wrote song lyrics, often signing with his first name, Ikaros.
