Biography

Carole Wood is a Florida-born performer whose artistic foundation began on stage through dance and musical theater before expanding into on-camera work in film and television. A native of Fort Lauderdale, she spent her early years immersed in performance, developing a strong stage presence that later informed her natural, grounded screen style. After earning a B.S. in Communications from Kennesaw State University, Carole continued to pursue her creative ambitions while balancing family life. Following the birth of her two children, she reignited her passion for acting, booking award-winning lead roles in community theater, student, and independent films. Determined to deepen her craft from both sides of the lens, she attended the Miami Film School in 2010. Before fully transitioning into film, Carole spent over a decade in the NFL, beginning as a Pro Bowl cheerleader for the Atlanta Falcons. Her leadership and choreography experience led to her role as Cheerleading Coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where she helped guide the squad to Pro Football Weekly’s "Best NFL Cheer Squad" honors in 1998. During her NFL tenure, Carole collaborated with major recording artists including Shania Twain, MC Hammer, Toby Keith, Travis Tritt, Santana, and Shaggy, gaining invaluable experience performing on large stages and working within high-profile entertainment environments. Expanding into storytelling, Carole wrote, produced, and starred in Krissy Belle, a sitcom-style comedy edited as a feature film. The project premiered at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival in 2013 and was praised for its lighthearted tone and appeal to bilingual English-Spanish audiences.

Today, Carole continues to develop projects that blend her background in performance, production, and storytelling. She resides with her husband and two children, remaining committed to lifelong learning, creative collaboration, and roles that highlight humor, heart, and relatable female perspectives.
