Biography

Gabriela Bervian is a sound technician and sound designer since 2004. An alumnus of the first undergraduate filmmaking class in Rio Grande do Sul, she was also a pioneer in her career, being the first female direct sound technician in RS.

She owns the company BoomBoom, with more than 60 projects in Brazil, including features and series.

She received the Golden Kikito for best sound in the years 2012, 2015 and 2021 at the Gramado Film Festival.

She was a sound technician of two Emmy Award winning documentaries - Hack The City and Our Blood, Our Body, both produced by MyMama and FoxBrasil.

In 2023 she is nominated in the category of best sound at the Grande Prêmio do Cinema Brasileiro for the film Alemão 2, by José Eduardo Belmonte.

Gabriela Bervian, a filmmaker with a bachelor's degree in film and active in the industry since 2004, directed and edited the films *Som Sem Sentido* and *Domingo de Marta*, the latter of which received the awards for best film and best direction at the 2014 Gramado Film Festival.

She co-directed, with Rogerio Gomes, the series "Quem sabe outro dia" and the 3rd season of the series "Depois da Meia-noite" , "Quem vai ficar com Clara"e "Muitas Camadas", for which she also wrote the edits.

She received the Kikito, the highest award at the Gramado Film Festival, for best sound in 2012, 2014, and 2021.

She began her career in feature films as part of the directing team for the film *Cão sem Dono* (Stray Dog), by Beto Brant and Renato Ciasca, in 2005.

Since then, she has worked on over 100 series and feature film projects, filmed throughout almost all of Brazil.

Alongside her independent film projects, she has consolidated her career as a sound technician and designer. She was the first female sound recordist and designer in Rio Grande do Sul.
