Biography

  • Adam Cook started in the entertainment industry as a child actor in 1989. By 1997 Adam had also become well versed in producing and video editing. Adam took a break from the entertainment business when he joined the United Stated Air Force where he received many letters of appreciation and accommodations for his service. In 2001 Adam was honorably discharged from the Air Force and returned to his roots in the entertainment industry.

Adam has worked as a freelance producer and editor for several years on various types of films and television shows. In addition to producing and editing series and feature films Adam found a niche in creating and developing reality shows for production companies and networks. With the demand on his talents and time to help develop and create these reality shows Adam opened POSTModern productions in 2006 and incorporated in 2009 as POSTModern productions, Inc.

POSTModern based it's operation at Raleigh Studios in Los Angeles and opened up satellite offices in the Philippines and India. POSTModern specialized in creating and developing reality shows, seeing them from concept through pilot and handling all phases of preproduction, production and postproduction while working in conjunction with the various networks and affiliated production companies. Some of POSTModern's successes include "Street Legal" (MTv), Find ME (We), "The Reinhardt's with Perris Hilton" (E!) to name a few.

In addition to creating reality shows Adam and POSTModern productions has also been credited with designing post production workflows and assisting to create new television networks like MGM HD. Adam and POSTModern were also instrumental in taking WCSN from a SD broadcast television sports network to an HD network when they were purchased by NBC/Universal. As a result of their efforts in the transition of WCSN to NBC/Universal Sports, POSTModern productions began producing many projects for NBC/Universal Sports over a five year period.

One of the company's most recent productions is the film "Underbelly Blues" in conjunction with The Sugar Factory and Tarantino Productions. "Underbelly Blues" received three Best Picture Awards from The Los Angeles New Wave Film Fest, Art House Film Fest and The American International Film Fest. Adam also recently produced the feature film "2 Dudes and A Dream" with Jason Mewes and Andy Milonakis. In addition, Adam worked on the TV series "Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman."

POSTModern productions has left Raleigh Studios and is no longer developing projects for other production companies and networks as a "work for hire." POSTModern has set out on a new path to develop their own projects and are currently in the process of pitching, selling and licensing many unique reality series which POSTModern productions will oversee from start to finish while taking advantage of their vast relationships with show runners and affiliate production companies and many other talented professionals to further their creation their own programs.
