Son of the actor Joaquim de Almeida and Maria Cecilia Gonçalves, Lourenço grew up in Lisbon, Portugal. In 2011 he moved to Scotland to pursue his theatre studies at the University of Glasgow. After graduating he continued his training in New York at the Tom Todoroff Conservatory. Lourenço now splits his time between Brooklyn, NY and Lisbon, Portugal.
