Biography

In 2006, RBJ was an executive with Dino De Laurentiis when he acquired the rights to BARBARELLA.

RBJ worked along side the infamous Italian producer Dino de Laurentiis with renegade indie film-director Robert Rodrigue, James Bond writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, mega-budget production designer Patrick Tatopoulos, and three-time Academy Award winning Coleen Atwood to develop and produce BARBARELLA to the big screen.

RBJ began in career at Silver Pictures in production and development before joining the production KISS KISS BANG BANG written and directed by Shane Black starring Robert Downey Jr, Val Kilmer, and Michelle Monaghan.

During his tenure at Dino De Laurentiis Company, RBJ worked along side powerhouse producer's Dino De Laurentiis, Martha De Laurentiis, and Raffaella De Laurentiis as they produced HANNIBAL RISING directed by Peter Webber and cinematographer Ben Davis, THE LAST LEGION with Collin Firth, Sir Ben Kingsley, and Aishwarya Rai, and VIRGIN TERRITORY with Hayden Christensen and Tim Roth. RBJ cut his teeth learning the ins and out of film producing. He received hands-on experience learning the business side of the film business from contract negotiations with studios, agents, and managers to foreign sales at film markets with International Distributors.

RBJ has worked along side with some of the industries top filmmakers. He has collaborated with Patty Jenkins on I AM THE NIGHT, a true story based on the life of Fauna Hodel set in 1965 LA, loosely based around the Black Dahlia murder, with Emmy winning Production Designer Julie Berghoff.

Prior to that he collaborated with Dana Calvo, Darlene Hunt and Don Kurt on the Amazon hit GOOD GIRLS REVOLT, working long side Oscar winning production designer Jeanine Oppewall. RBJ also collaborated with Susanna Grant and Lise Cholodenko on Netflix's true crime story UNBELIEVABLE starring Toni Collette and Merritt Wever and Kaitlyn Dever.

RBJ recently collaborated with Oscar nominated film director David Fincher on his current film MANK starring Gary Oldman, Amanda Seyfried and Lily Collins with Oscar winning production designer Don Burt, Oscar winning editor Kirk Baxter, and Oscar nominated producer Cean Chaffin.
