Andrew Bruntel grew up in the small town of Lebanon, Pennsylvania in the 1980s and 1990s and taught himself animation, applying his imagination to homemade shorts.After graduating from Maryland's Institute College of Art in graphic design, he interned with film director Mike Mills and then made music videos, which were inexpensive to do at the time, for groups such as Liars, The Mountain Goats, and St.Vincent.
