Biography

Melissa Osborne is an award-winning British screenwriter whose work has defined recent global streaming hits. She is best known for penning My Fault: London (2025) for Prime Video, which achieved massive international success, and the Netflix romantic drama My Oxford Year (2025). The latter, starring Sofia Carson and Corey Mylchreest, debuted at number one worldwide with 27 million views in its first week alone.

In addition to her major 2025 releases, Melissa has already written the highly anticipated sequel, Your Fault: London, which is scheduled for release in June 2026 and has original projects in development with Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way, Brownstone and New Regency. Melissa also provided additional literary material for Amazon MGM’s upcoming release The Last Sunrise.

In addition to her writing, she's made two short films; Nothing and Change. The latter, which she wrote, produced and directed, won many awards. Change explores the irony of a law passing to prevent same-sex marriage on the same day that America elected its first black President. Change was acquired by Frameline's 'Youth in Motion' program where it was made available to schools throughout California and plays on iTunes and Shorts TV.
