Grew up in Nassau, capital city of the Bahamas.

Always referred to by family, teachers and friends as an artistic prodigy: Exceptionally talented in painting, drawing, sculpture and portraiture in all mediums from childhood.

The youngest of four sons born to Ethel and James E. Brown.

All brother's names begin with the letter K, including Karlton, Kevin and Kenneth.

His father, the late James Eugene Brown, was born in Port Howe, Cat island, Bahamas in 1938 and attended school with his older cousin, Academy Award winner, Sidney Poitier. Kourtney is a 2nd cousin of the legendary Bahamian American actor.

Upon completion of his Bachelor Degree, he received a full scholarship to University of Miami's Master of Fine Arts program.

He is a Wilhelmina model.

Gained 20 pounds and shaved his hairline back an inch for his role in film "If You Only Knew", where his character is aged from late twenties to his early fifties.

Kourtney was selected as the face of the renown French cognac, "Hennessy" for the company's 2011 national print ad campaign. The ad appeared on billboards, nationally and in various high end magazines, including "GQ", "ESPN", "Maxim" and "Uptown".

Kourtney derives from a creative and athletically rich Bahamian-American family pedigree. He is first Cousin to the first Bahamian Olympic medalist, Frank Rutherford Jr. and second Cousin to the first black Academy Award winner, for Best Actor, Sir Sidney Poitier, from his Father's side. Kourtney is also second Cousin to nationally renown African-American, abstract expressionist artist, James Denmark, on his Mother's side. Kourtney's Father, James Eugene Brown became a prominent Bahamian real estate mogul in the islands of the Bahamas from the mid 70's to his death in 1996.
