Julee Metz is an award-winning writer and producer specializing in high-stakes true crime and investigative documentary storytelling. Her latest project, My Brother's Killer, made its world premiere at the 2026 SXSW Film & TV Festival. Recent work includes the Hulu Original Last Take: Rust and the Story of Halyna, and the HBO Max series An Update on Our Family.
Julee's credits span some of the genre's most sensitive and complex narratives, including the acclaimed Autobiography series for A&E (Mary Kay Letourneau, Mike Tyson, Elizabeth Smart), Discovery’s Curse of the Chippendales, and Oxygen's Accident, Suicide or Murder. She began her career working on the seminal VH1 series Behind the Music.
