Born and raised in Arizona, Zack grew up a nerdy, creative jock. He graduated in the top ten in his class as well as a state champion discusses thrower. Though his love for horror movies had Zack initially wanting to study makeup effects after high school, ultimately athletic recruitment led to trading that specific plan for one that included playing college football and Track & Field while studying film at Occidental College in Los Angeles.
Post college Zack worked as a sound mixer for amusement park song and dance shows at Canobie Lake Amusement Park in Salem NH and Coney Island Amusement Park in Cincinnati OH. He also worked at Paramount's Kings Island Amusement park, for Technicolor Film Services, The historic Murphy Theater, as an elementary school PE teacher, and as a housewares sales lead for Linens N Things before finally breaking into the film biz as a location assistant on Stephen King's "Desperation".
Since then in a career spanning over 20'years, Zack has gone on to work predominantly in the art department in set decorating and props. He has done everything from PA to Production Design and almost everything in between... props, set decorating, set dressing, prop making, set construction and more.
