Nicholas David Lean was born on 5th October 1967 in West London, to Welsh parents. He is a writer, director, and producer known for Hard Shoulder (2012), Shed of the Dead (2018), and Traffik (2021), as a 2nd Unit Director on King of Crime (2018), and 1AD on Fixed (2020) and Renegades (2021).
In 2018 he added VFX Production to the services of his company, Oceanstorm Films, specialising in MM / Roto and has since overseen post contributions to large budget small screen productions such as The Marvellous Mrs Maisel (2017), The Crown (2016), and Dummy (2020). With contributions to many other HETV programs and films (including critically acclaimed shows and projects from the MCU) he has also managed the provision of VFX for commercial campaigns for both Oculus and Doordash in the US.
