Biography

Alison Smyth is a Canadian actress. She is known for her film debut Hairspray (2007) and the reality television competition show Canadian Idol (2003).

Smyth has also appeared on several talk shows including eTalk Daily (2010), Entertainment Tonight Canada (2010), CityLine (2009), and Breakfast Television (2004).

She holds the title of "Best Performer In A Play" for The Fourposter (Classic Theatre Festival) from the 2022 Broadwayworld.com Ottawa Awards, and also the "Best Featured Female In A Musical" for Jersey Boys (Mirvish Productions) from the 2010 Broadwayworld Toronto Awards.
