Based in Montreal, Canada, Claire Sanford is a filmmaker and
cinematographer who works to capture the world around us in light and
shadow. She has shot award winning fiction, documentary and
experimental projects which have taken her around the world. Originally
from a small island off the rustic west coast of Canada, Claire grew up
immersed in nature. There she gained a skill for the quiet art of
observation, which she brings to each project. Claire holds a BFA in
film production from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver.
