Lachlan Buchanan

Lachlan Buchanan is an Australian actor born and raised in Maleny, Queensland, where he grew up as one of six siblings and developed a lifelong passion for surfing. He began performing in local theatre productions as a child before breaking into screen work with the Australian surf drama Newcastle (2008), in which he played the lead role of Jesse - performing many of his own surfing stunts - alongside Barry Otto and Xavier Samuel. He went on to appear in numerous popular Australian television series including Blue Water High, and Home & Away. After relocating to Los Angeles in 2009, Buchanan quickly established himself in American television with roles across Hung, Pretty Little Liars, Teen Wolf, NCIS, The Young and the Restless, Criminal Minds, Fuller House, and Dynasty, among others. He is best known internationally for his role as firefighter Emmett Dixon in the ABC drama Station 19 (2020-2024) and for his lead role as Gaz Healy opposite Celeste Barber and Remi Hii in the Netflix comedy-drama Wellmania (2023), which marked a return to Australian production. Alongside his acting career, Buchanan has a Bachelor of Business from the University of the Sunshine Coast.
