Biography

Originally both an actor and an English teacher, Olivier Bruaux decided to change for a full-time artistic life as an actor and stage director in 2002. For the last two years, he has been seen acting as the old Dogsborough in "The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui" by Brecht, as Cherea in Camus' "Caligula" and as Lucien in "Business is Business" by Octave Mirbeau.

His most recent achievements as a stage director are Jean Giraudoux' first play, "Siegfried", August Strindberg's last play, "The Highway", "Ubu King" by Alfred Jarry, "Business is Business" by Octave Mirbeau, "Salome" by Oscar Wilde with the praise of the Oscar Wilde Society, and "Dom Garcie de Navarre", Moliere's only tragedy that was revived in Paris, at the Théâtre du Nord-Ouest, 350 years after its creation. He also took over the "Macbeth" project in 2009 originally directed by Damiane Goudet, setting in a big well-know theatre in Paris (Théâtre des Lilas).

His latest short-movie as a co-writer and main actor was "Mourir d'aimer" by K A Rashid Jewel. He also starred in "Impasse" (aka "Cul de sac") by Rémy Debeil, presented at the Cannes Festival's Short Corner in 2010.

Before he was seen on French TV in "Le clan des Pasquier" and in two episodes of the famous "Samantha Oups" show.
