Angel Laketa Moore was born on July 3, 1980 in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. She is an actress and writer, known for Independence Day: Resurgence (2016), Bad Times at the El Royale (2018) and ER (1994). She is married to Marcus Tanksley I. They have three children.

She is the youngest of four girls.

She has a BA in Theatre from the University of Kentucky and an MFA in Acting from the University of California at Irvine.
