Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Maximilian Osinski is a Polish-American actor whose work pairs formidable physical presence with a sharp, playful intelligence. Born in a refugee camp in Eisenstadt, Austria, after his parents fled Poland, he came to the United States at eight weeks old and was raised in Chicago. Trained in theatre at Syracuse University’s Drama program, where he spent a semester abroad training at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London, Osinski began his career in New York City, performing Off-Broadway with companies including Atlantic Theater Company, Manhattan Theatre Company, and the Beckett Theatre. His stage work also includes Los Angeles’ Santa Monica Broad Stage in David Cromer’s acclaimed production of Our Town. In 2008, he received a New York Innovative Theatre Award nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Lead Role for his performance in David Gow’s Cherry Docs. Osinski broke through internationally as Zava, AFC Richmond’s mercurial superstar in Apple TV+’s Emmy-winning Ted Lasso, and is also known for playing the resilient Agent Davis in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. His work spans the action thriller A Working Man opposite Jason Statham, Paramount+’s NCIS: Tony & Ziva as enigmatic hacker Boris Peskov, and the BBC comedy series Ann Droid. He will next appear as Nikolai in Charlie Brooker’s Netflix series Project Codename. Osinski received Polish citizenship in 2012, enabling him to work across the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union. He splits his time between London and the United States. He is married to actress Dichen Lachman, and together they have a daughter.
