Eeva Putro is a Finnish actor and screenwriter based in Helsinki who works fluently in Finnish, Swedish, English and Russian. Her recent international screen work includes the Amazon Prime Video series Citadel directed by Joe Russo, the Danish feature film Breeder, and the internationally awarded short film Sirocco, in which she played the lead role.
Alongside her acting career, Putro is also known as the sole screenwriter of the feature film Tove, Finland’s official submission for the Academy Awards in 2021, in which she also appeared as an actor. The film received multiple awards and nominations, including seven Jussi Awards, and Putro received the Sylvi Award for Best Screenplay.
She holds a Master’s degree in Acting from the St. Petersburg State Academy of Theatre Arts and a Master’s degree in Screenwriting from Tampere University of Applied Sciences.
