Lorenzo Moneta, italian architect from Rome, starts his path following several fine arts skills and creating illustrations and paintings for all kind of purposes - books for children, CD booklets, comics.
After a period exploring graphic design and advertising, Moneta meets Paolo Zeccara, visual effects enthusiast, supervisor and matte painter. The chance to put together graphics and illustration in the magic world of motion picture is a stunning discover for Moneta who starts working as storyboard artist and junior matte painter with Zeccara.
After this first experience in motion arts, Moneta works three years as matte painter and main title designer in Technicolor Rome, then as freelance digital artist creates matte paintings and motion graphics for many productions.
As a matte painter he has created works for many important directors like Mario Monicelli, Giuseppe Tornatore and Liliana Cavani. Moneta considers crucial to keep together his work as digital artist and the mission of teaching digital matte painting in VFX schools set in Rome.
