Terra Wellington is an American actress, writer, and producer known for her work in narrative-driven television and film projects that blend deep character exploration with genre elements.

Terra is the lead producer and writer of the upcoming sci-fi thriller feature Habitable, which explores resilience amidst a climate emergency. She is also the creator of the supernatural drama series Magnolia Hill, which has earned recognition at the Catalyst Content Festival (Best Thriller/Horror TV Script, 2024) and as a PGA Create Finalist (2022). Additionally, she is the executive producer and writer of the paranormal drama Two Santa Anas, a project that has gained acclaim at multiple festivals, including the Catalyst Content Festival (2024).

As an actress, Terra has predominantly starred in indie films, taking on roles that explore complex emotional landscapes. She has cultivated her craft through extensive training in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, and the UK. In 2009, she was a series regular playing a cannabis doctor's wife in the drama pilot Rx (2009) which premiered at the New York Television Festival. In that same year, she portrayed Julienne Blanche Cafarelli, the wife of Napolean's general, in the historical drama The Last Days of Toussaint L'Ouverture (2009).

In 2018, she was in another historical drama, the black-and-white anthology feature film Mississippi Requiem (2018) about the stories of William Faulkner, starring Amy Smart and Topher Grace. Also that year, she played Laura Quinn in the musical drama When Darkness Falls (2018), which was nominated for Best Drama Short at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival Awards. She also played the lead in the 2019 drama Three Hundred Days (2019), which was filmed in the high deserts above Los Angeles. And also the role of Ida in the sci-fi drama Afterimages (2020) in 2020, in which her character tries to hide a terrible truth as she confronts a society in which your five most impactful memories print as Polaroids from your mouth upon death.

Terra is also a long-time supporter of independent storytelling through her work with the Sundance Institute's Collab program, where she has served as both a Community Leader and Advisor - advocating for sustainable filmmaking practices and climate storytelling initiatives.

She is a dedicated advocate for environmental causes, authoring The Mom's Guide to Growing Your Family Green (St. Martin's Press) and appearing in over 2,000 television guest interviews as a wellness and sustainability expert. Terra has also served as a high-end spokesperson for such brands as adidas, Disney, Silk beverages, PUR, Crest, Kashi, and Zenni Optical.
