Biography

  • Nickola Shreli (Nikolla Shkreli) is a Detroit-born Albanian-American actor, writer, and filmmaker, known for Cash Only (2015), Killerman (2019), Line of Duty (2019) and Power: Force (2025).

Shreli was born in Detroit, Michigan to Albanian immigrant parents and began performing in Eisenhower High School's theater program before training with The Second City and Detroit Ensemble Theatre. He started his career in Detroit's independent film scene, working on local productions such as 8mile and then appearing in Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2007), John Singleton's Abduction (2011), Eli Roth's Hostel franchise, AMC's Low Winter Sun (2013), and opposite Jason Momoa in the Sundance Channel's The Red Road (2014).

In 2015, Shreli wrote and starred in Cash Only, a gritty Detroit-set crime drama that earned critical acclaim for its authenticity and emotional depth. Through his Detroit-based company, Nickname Projects, he has since produced and collaborated on other notable features and commercials, including Killerman, It Follows, and Zana.

His latest project, Broke English, an experimental feature-doc written, directed by, and starring Shreli in multiple roles, is set to be released in 2026.
