Dr Zeljko Mirkovic, director and producer. The founder and owner of Optimistic Film production company since 2007. He graduated from the Belgrade Academy of Arts and got his master's degree at the Bournemouth University Media School, UK. He finished his PhD thesis "Documentary Film Through the History of War and Peace" at the Belgrade Megatrend University.
Dr Zeljko Mirkovic has won more than 100 international awards.
Feature documentary Tesla Nation (2018) is a 2020 official Academy Awards runner.
Feature documentary The Second Meeting (2013) was a 2014 official Academy Awards runner.
He is working as a Associate Research Professor at University of Connecticut in the USA.
