"The Passenger" (Raúl Cerezo & Fernando González Gómez, 2021) marked his debut as a cinematographer for a feature film, shortly followed by "Viejos" (Fernando González Gómez & Raúl Cerezo, 2022), released in 2023 after a very successful Festival run.

In 2024, he shot the Western-Thriller "Rabioso", directed by Luis María Ferrández, scheduled to be released in 2025, and "Dead Souls", another Western, this time for the legendary British director Alex Cox ("Repo Man", "Sid & Nancy", "Straight to Hell", "Walker"...), and both were shot in Almería. Ignacio's narrative work also includes about 30 short films, with "8" (Raúl Cerezo, 2011), "Mr. Dentonn" (Iván Villamel, 2014) and "El Semblante" (Raúl Cerezo & Carlos Moriana, 2022) being highlights for which he has won more than fifteen international cinematography awards. He has also shot documentaries. His work has also appeared on both "American Cinematographer" and "Camera & Light" magazines.

He has experience with both film and digital cameras, having shot in most of what's available from Arri, Sony, Canon and Red. He has a lot of experience with cinema lenses, having shot a lot in the anamorphic format.

Since 2017, Ignacio also teaches film and cinematography at Spain's most prestigious film schools, such as ESCAC in Barcelona and ECAM, TAI and EFTI in Madrid, among others. He run a camera rental house in Madrid (Spain), Harmonica Rental, which he funded in 2012, until its closure in 2024.

An Active Member of the AEC (Spanish Society of Cinematographers), now he works as a freelance cinematographer, being "Independent Certified Expert" (ICE) for Sony Cameras and Cooke SP3 lenses ambassador for Spain.
