Andreas Evangeliou

Andreas Evangeliou was a Greek actor renowned for his work in theatre and film, particularly in the Grand Guignol genre of horror and suspense, which he helped introduce to Greece. A self-taught actor who later trained in Paris, he performed extensively across Greece, as well as in Cyprus, Turkey, Egypt, and France. Evangeliou appeared in early Greek cinema, including Kain kai Avel (1930). Beyond his screen work, he became celebrated for his theatrical mastery, touring widely and presenting productions of both translated foreign plays and original Greek adaptations.
