- Boomer Phillips is a Canadian actor, comedian, and firefighter whose career spans stand-up comedy, television, film, and broadcasting.
Phillips began his entertainment career as a stand-up comedian before joining MuchMusic as an on-air personality, appearing on multiple programs and becoming one of the stars of the network’s hit comedy series Video on Trial. He also hosted the YTV/Fox Kids adventure competition series The Adrenaline Project for three seasons, further establishing himself as a versatile television personality.
Since transitioning into acting, he has appeared in more than 60 national and international commercials while building an extensive resume in television and film. He is best known for his recurring role as Boomtown on the acclaimed comedy series Letterkenny, as well as his guest-starring role on the critically acclaimed science fiction series The Expanse.
His television credits also include The Handmaid’s Tale, Reacher, and numerous other productions, while his film work includes Goon: Last of the Enforcers and the action comedy Bounty Hunters, in which he starred opposite WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus.
Most recently, Phillips was cast as a series regular in Crave’s original comedy series Bulges, marking another milestone in a career that continues to expand across comedy, television, and film.
When he’s not on set, Phillips serves as a professional firefighter, bringing the same work ethic and dedication to both of his careers.
