Benjamin Forkner

Biography

  • Ben Forkner is an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning producer and the founder of Pendleton Media Group. He has been named one of Variety's "New Leaders of Hollywood" and The Hollywood Reporter's "Next Generation." Ben has received Emmy, Critics Choice, and Golden Globe nominations for his scripted and documentary work, as well as a Producers Guild of America nomination for the David L. Wolper Award for Outstanding Producer of Limited Series Television. His Peabody Award recognized "excellence in storytelling that reflects the social issues and emerging voices of our day."

Since founding PMG, Ben has produced the Netflix limited series Ripley, based on Patricia Highsmith's The Talented Mr. Ripley novels; the documentary The Flagmakers for Disney and National Geographic; and Deep Water for New Regency, directed by Adrian Lyne and starring Ben Affleck, Ana de Armas, and Jacob Elordi.

Previously, Ben spent fifteen years at Management 360 where he was the President of Motion Picture Production of Entertainment 360 (HBO's Game of Thrones). He worked with clients and their studio deals and companies on all matters relating to intellectual property, development, financing, and production; working closely with clients including Margot Robbie, Reese Witherspoon, Channing Tatum, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jennifer Garner, Jimmy Fallon, Jessica Biel, Daniel Kaluuya, Anne Hathaway, Chadwick Boseman, and Michelle Pfeiffer, as well as augmented reality companies such as Magic Leap.

Ben also produced The Gallows, ranked among the "Top 10 Highest-Grossing Movies of All Time Based on ROI," earning over $42 million worldwide on a $100,000 budget-the least expensive film in history to receive a global theatrical release.

He is a member of the Producers Guild of America and the Television Academy, and serves as a Director of The Palace Head Foundation, a charitable non-profit. Ben graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College.
